Prior to joining Soundnet, Simon set up his own digital record company FSV, which was the first UK label to release audio and video compilations onto a single CD. He is also former Marketing Manager of L&D records, the market leader in music compilations via TV direct response channel.
Simon works closely with all the protection societies in creating the most favourable licences for the use of music in public locations. He has pioneered many of the new digital music licences now in use across our industry.
A former record producer, Martin’s influential career spans over 40 years in the entertainment industry focusing on Record and TV Production, Distribution, Music Publishing and the Digital Video industry.
In 1977 Martin set up Radar Records which enjoyed worldwide success with artists such as Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe. Previous roles include Managing Director of United Artists Records and former Chairman of Island Records & Music Publishing, where he was responsible for signing the world’s most successful rock band - U2.
Martin is a founding member and former Executive Council official of the British Phonographic Industry Association.
James was involved at the conception stage of the digital jukebox over 10 years ago, and as Soundnet’s Commercial Director brings more than 30 years experience of the pub and hospitality sector to the company.
As Managing Director of Bell Amusements Ltd he operated thousands of jukeboxes, sound systems and other machines in hundreds of free and retail pubs and bars in the UK. His interests in technology and all things new media are central to the continual development of the services Soundnet offer. The on-line developments at the company are directly James’ responsibility along with pursuing business strategies and relations to make Soundnet’s services fresh, engaging and income generative.
Toby has been with Soundnet since 1998. As Marketing Manager Toby is not only responsible for ensuring the Soundnet message is ‘received and understood’, but that the products and services we develop are relevant and what the customer needs. Toby believes on-going dialogue with customers is paramount.
Lee has over a decade of experience and a passion for music. He ensures the ideal music is profiled for every update and every customer. From background music ‘mood playlists’ to jukebox money earners, Lee understands what music needs to be programmed. His contacts with the record industry ensure Soundnet get lots of audio and video pre-releases before they are sold in the stores, meaning your customers hear them first.
