TouchTunes acquisition will mean business as usual for Soundnet UK customers

Soundnet – the leading supplier of digital music to the UK jukebox industry – has been acquired by TouchTunes Interactive Networks, the largest in-venue interactive entertainment network in North America.

However, from Soundnet’s existing customers’ point of view in the UK, the acquisition will actually make very little difference to the high level of service they have come to expect.

“It will be business as usual for all of our UK customers with all of the existing team, such as Toby Hoyte and James Luck remaining in their current roles,” says Soundnet’s Managing Director, Simon Davis.

“We will also continue to work exclusively with Sound Leisure in the UK, supplying music only for their jukeboxes. We have achieved a great deal as partners over the past decade and are thrilled with the recent success of the VHub jukebox, which is now the UK’s best selling model, as well as all the work both companies have put into soundjack. There is a great deal more that both companies wish to achieve together in the UK and we are looking forward to the future,” he adds.

Soundnet operates throughout the UK and Europe and since 2000 has been providing audio and video content to digital jukeboxes and background music services in venues across the region. Earlier this year, the company extended its exclusive UK jukebox agreement with the Official Charts Company to supply its digital jukeboxes with the Official Singles Chart. Soundnet also recently launched the soundjack mobile app, that allows consumers to select and play songs from a smartphone.
