Playdium promotion is music to the ears for UK operators
Sound Leisure is reporting a ‘superb response’ to the launch promotion it is running in support of TouchTunes’ Playdium, the smart, game-changing jukebox which was unveiled to UK music operators at the Amusement Coin-Op Show (ACOS) in London. The promotion offers operators the opportunity to purchase the Playdium at a launch offer price of £1,600, a saving of £400. The Playdium is also available to rent at a price of £11.77/week.
Sound Leisure director, Chris Black said: “The momentum is certainly building following the official UK launch of Playdium at ACOS. I’ve always felt our business is at it’s most impressive when Operators have the opportunity to sit down together and discuss products and the future, which is why I believe ACOS to be such an important gathering on the UK calendar of b2b events for our sector.
“The Playdium is revered by operators in the United States and it was extremely important for the teams at Soundnet, Sound Leisure and TouchTunes, led by Chairman and CEO, Charles Goldstuck, who flew into London specifically for the launch, to be able to explain to the UK operating community why Playdium is not just another product, but rather, an innovation which has the capacity to help both operators and their customers to maximise the income potential of in-venue, pay to play music. The arguments, based on TouchTunes’ extensive experience in the United States and the six months spent testing Playdium on-site in the UK, has struck a chord with customers, whose interest has been enhanced further by our Playdium launch promotion.”
Widely regarded by in venue, pay to play music operators in the US as being very much the ‘next generation’ entertainment platform, Playdium enables venues to select from a variety of music profiles in order to tailor the experience to the characteristics and profile of their location and their customer base. The smart jukebox has the capacity to learn from the music that has been selected and intuitively highlights the songs, artists and search results that will be most relevant, thereby improving the customer experience. The TouchTunes App has been operating in North America for more than five years and is currently generating in excess of 3 million plays a week.
