Soundnet proves there’s a jukebox for every pub at the EAG and ICE shows
The Soundnet team took to the trade floor last month, exhibiting their digital jukeboxes to an international audience at two of the leading conferences in the entertainment and gaming world.
January was a busy month for Soundnet, with the EAG International Amusement and Leisure show and the ICE gaming industry exhibition both taking place within the space of a fortnight at the ExCel convention centre in London.
The team arrived at EAG with some fantastic news to tell visitors; the company had just signed a deal with The Official Charts Company while, over December, paid-for-tracks through the VenueHub Last.Fm app had hit the one-million play mark.
Exhibiting at the two very different events, the Soundnet team were able to connect with a wide variety of industry members, given the opportunity to explain that different services the background music specialists provided.
Meeting a number of current jukebox customers at the EAG International Amusement and Leisure show, the team put their expertise to the test, advising operators on the best techniques to maximise their jukebox takings and keep pub-goers entertained. Indeed, the ICE gaming conference gave Soundnet the opportunity to discuss the additional features that have made the digital jukebox so popular in bars and pubs across the country.
What’s more, Sound Leisure also used the conferences as a platform to reveal the beginnings of an exciting test between Sound Leisure and international drinks manufacturer Britvic. The partnership, which you’ll read more about in the coming weeks, will see a test of Pepsi-themed VenueHubs, in certain locations across the UK.
Speaking about both events, Soundnet marketing manager Toby Hoyte commented;
“The EAG and ICE were great successes. We lost our voices, our feet hurt a lot, but hopefully we supported our customers.”
