soundjack wins leading marketing award

Soundnet’s innovative app soundjack has won a second award, this time at the influential Marketing on Mobile (MOMA) awards.

The award was for Best User Experience and Soundnet shared the winning rostrum with other names such as Kellogg’s, the NHS and Mindshare UK.

Last year, Soundnet also won the “highly commended” accolade at the Effective mobile marketing awards for ‘most effective mobile first service’ for the soundjack App.

Judging panel Chairman, Nick Buckley from Sony Mobile said of this year’s MOMA winners:

“It’s been truly refreshing to see such a high level of entries. What has stood out with the top entries is the clear and concise application of insights and research to deliver mobile first campaigns which effectively communicate and deliver upon the campaign objectives.”

“We are obviously thrilled to have our soundjack app recognised by the marketing industry, especially focusing on the user experience,” says James Luck from Soundnet. “Everyone involved with developing and launching soundjack has worked so hard, so to receive an award like this is amazing. This backs up the positive feedback we have been receiving from our customers using the app.”

Soundnet’s soundjack app was introduced into the market almost a year ago. It allows consumers to play their music choices within a bar, pub, restaurant or shop using their mobile phone. In a way, it is like turning a mobile phone into a remote control.

soundjack can be enabled on connected V Hubs or MIM jukeboxes. It is also available in background and pay-to-play form as a new service on an Android tablet.

soundjack is free for customers to download in the App or Android app store. In background music mode all the features are free.  In jukebox mode some features of the app are free (UK Chart info, track preview, site song list) but if a customer wants to select and play a song then they will be charged the same amount as if they were playing the jukebox as normal.

For the best way to test soundjack – operators are advised to visit the website and download the user version from either the Apple store or Google play to get a feel for it. www.soundjack.com.

The service can provide a unique venue library, which can create a managed set of profiles to suit your brand. It currently works with online jukeboxes but started working on background services on a pre-installed Android tablet platform this month.

The services start at 1750 tracks – with the user pay to play -open access version of up to 5 million tracks.

Customers can pick their chosen sessions/default and Soundnet can prep a tablet and set up the data accordingly. The service is controlled online through the soundjack dashboard which is accessible to the operator – the timers and profiles can be set up here once a library has been chosen to suit your varied week and clientele.

All updates come online and are dependent on the library chosen. Soundnet can provide a hardware install service thru’ our network of operators – but the tablet just needs connecting via a mini jack cable to your sound system and requires a Wifi internet connection that must be continuously plugged into a power socket.
